Prince Tsegah descends on Shatta Wale

Showbiz critic, Prince Tsegah has rebuked Shatta Wale for publicly assaulting his bodyguard at this year’s edition of the S-Concert held at the Accra Sports Stadium over the weekend.

Shatta Wale gave his bodyguard a ‘dirty’ slap for preventing a fan from climbing the stage during his performance.

The incident was met with outrage from a section of the public, with some calling for an apology but the artiste in an attempt to defend the ‘barbaric’ act, contradicted himself on several occasions, observed.

After declaring on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review that he had sorted things out with the bodyguard, Shatta Wale sent a warning to media houses not to think about interviewing the bodyguard.

“Nobody should think of Interview for my bodyguard… He wont even answer you ..He is loyal and he understands the SMCODE ..hey folks today I want you guys to know SHATTA MOVEMENT IS BEYOND MUSIC….Sort your lives out cuz am living mine in a grand style..Biggie Sparta too Loyal (sic)…,” he posted on Facebook.

A clearly inconsistent Shatta Wale in an interview on Zylofon FM, Monday, however stated that the slap was part of his stage act and had been rehearsed for a month. Interestingly, the fan who wanted to mount the stage, according to Shatta Wale, was not part of the act.

Responding to the fall out of events on Hitz FM’s ‘You Say Wetin’, Prince Tsegah vehemently condemned the act saying, “All those who are defending Shatta Wale about this slap, are missing the point. It is not right to assault anybody in this modern day age. We are not living in the Stone Age; we are in a civilized stage and some of these things must stop.”

Despite the sympathy shown him by a section of the public who advised him to take Shatta Wale on, the victim of the hefty slap has said he would continue to serve Shatta Wale so long as he lives.

“If Shatta Wale has slapped me, is it your ears?” he asked in the video.

But Prince Tsegah surmised Biggie’s posture was nothing short of a hungry dude.

“I don’t blame the guy. If he likes, let him say Shatta Wale indeed slapped him; there’ll be no food on his table. It shows that in Ghana, when you have money, you can walk over the poor. You can spit on them and they won’t have a say,” he said.
